It has a cylinder-shaped clear mouth-blown glass body that broadens out to a cone with a round base. The clear glass base makes it easy to see how much oil is still in the lamp so it can be topped up when needed. In between the base and tall body, there is a metallic surround made of aluminium brushed with zinc alloy. The lamp has a knob on one end that is used to adjust the flame and to hold the lamp at a tilt for the sake of safety when it is being moved from one spot to another.
